Senior Business Development Manager

GIRD Systems is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager. This Senior Business Development Manager performs and leads tasks essential to the identification, qualification, shaping and capturing of new business opportunities as well as managing and extending the business potential of existing programs. This individual will be responsible for developing, planning and generating schedules for proposals. He/she will also compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. The selected individual will be responsible to proactively collaborate with the technical team in the development of technical solutions. The candidate will provide leadership for all applicable BD processes within the company. This senior manager must effectively communicate at all levels of both internal and customer organizations, including with executive management. Excellent communication skills in customer relations are essential.

Systems Engineer

GIRD Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer for Cincinnati, OH. The Systems Engineer will develop system requirements, conduct systems-level analyses, study design and implementation tradeoffs, and provide written design/test/analysis documentation and occasional oral presentations. In addition, the Systems Engineer will design and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms that are conducive for implementation in software, firmware and hardware. Algorithm development will focus on the areas of advanced communication modem design, geolocation technologies, interference mitigation/cancellation, and advanced/adaptive signal processing, in general. Design and implementations will address difficult scenarios, with an emphasis on low signal to noise ratio, high interference, and advanced, adaptive modulation and coding techniques.

FPGA/ASIC Firmware Design Engineer

GIRD Systems is seeking an FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer. This person will design, architect, and implement waveforms and DSP algorithms using VHDL or Verilog targeting software defined radio (SDR) hardware. Firmware development is applied to high complexity and high throughput implementations with a focus on VHDL, code re-use, fixed point modeling, low power design, system integration, test automation, FPGA/ASIC IP Core development and product test/support while leveraging advancements in SoCs, synthesis tools and SDR hardware. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated ability in innovative thinking and versatility with experience in the following: FPGA/ASIC architecture design, simulation and verification, MATLAB or C/C++ familiarity and proposal, report and system/product specification development. The individual will work within a team environment to achieve high efficiency in solving our customer’s formidable challenges and meeting our customer’s requirements objectives.
